I was an accidental photojournalist.
I am an occasional photographer.
The transition took place when I left India Today to go back to school. The cameras, I believed, were laid to rest.
It was years after the switch to academia, on a strange journey, that I felt that itch which never really leaves those who have spent much time on the road with a camera. The journey was rich with unique visuals. I returned empty-handed, resolved to never again leave on a journey without a camera.
Why publish these images now?
Because I had time to fill during an enforced break. Besides, there is the hope that - as a visual archive - they are better off on display than fading away in a dark attic. So watch this site grow as I continue to add images at regular intervals.
